Had a great night. Kept the channels and released the flathead

Few days ago, the first day the ice cleared. They would just barely bite, but I got the boat out and caught lunch for the next day

Another flathead feeding on the surface. Threw out cutbait shallow under a float. Released to go grow

Yet another nice bass on cutbait.

Still sight fished him but he was not on top

He decided to do what the channels have been doing and blow up topwater. I threw bait set shallow under a slip float right where he hit and he did it again. I couldn’t get a length but he was a little under 30” for sure. Super aggressive and never calmed down. New PB flathead

Put up a great fight. Caught 3 channels between 4-5 lbs also

Finally caught a flathead. Been catching 2-4 lb channels sight fishing them using live craws. This guy was more exciting lol. Released him to grow and cleaned two channels
