Winnebago Creek

This might look like just another random bass, but I caught this one on a new kind if lure. It came in my Monsterbass box. From Optimum Baits, they call it a line through swimbait. It is kind of like any other swimbait but there is this plastic tube down the middle. Feed you line through the tube, tie on the included treble hook, and you are good to go. It is hard to feed braided line through the hole, but not impossible. I kind of like it. It is a big lure (.85oz) but the bass in the Mississippi dont seem to mind.

The northerns were really popping today in New Albin. This was the biggest one I caught. That's a 1 1/2oz spinnerbait for reference

Caught this heffer while fishing for northerns today in New Albin. Check out her tail, I can't imagine what has to be going on just under the water's surface.

My PB northern pike. She was so crazy, she went after my spinnerbait 4 times before taking it. One of those times she literally came out if the water after it.

New Albin is always fun.

Do you think he was trying to eat it or start a family with it? This is a 1oz spinnerbait. I was fishing the Mississippi today for northerns and caught this.
