Mildale Farm Pond

Story time 😂… These photos are from a couple weeks ago when a local farm was opened to the public for a few hours. 7 different ponds on the land, so i was excited to try it out and see what was out there. I tried to avoid the crowds and go to the less fished ponds. It was a beautiful hike, but slow fishing. Only managed to catch the one LMB. Decided to hit up one more on my hike back to the car. Saw some activity on the top but no bites. Got caught up on some timber close to the bank and had to break it loose, but once i broke free and the dirt settled, i could see my jig head about 7-8ft from the shore. As a self-described “budget angler”, i of course got my longest rod out and proceeded to try and retrieve my jig…. Got a LITTLE too close to the edge and all of a sudden the earth shifted under my feet and i find myself BIW (butt in water). Try to stand up but what WAS mud is NOW sinking sand - inhaling my feet as i attempt to escape to dry land. Literally had to reverse scoot my boot to get out of it 😂🤦‍♂️😂🤦‍♂️😂
