College Pond Dam

3 LMBs and 2 pickerel in about an hour of fishing. I’ll take it.

Catching bass was not the primary goal for tonight’s dog walk, but I brought a rod and the hounds were dialed in. And we didn’t get skunked….even if Beckett decided to go swimming. (No bass was harmed during the snapping of these photos - Wilson didn’t get the bass)

I managed to snag 7 largies over an hour and a half of fishing at the old mud hole. Nothing chunky, but both the frog and stick worms produced.

The first properly cool morning in 8 weeks, and the cooldown turned the morning bite on. I landed 13 LMBs, the largest at 3.4lbs and five above 2lbs. I also lost at least two fish that felt really good. The wind picked up by 9am, which put an end to weightless senko pitching.

So, I was just going to go to the market to pick up groceries when I remembered that my rods were in the back of the car. I arrived at Market Basket about 7 bass late, so to speak.

This one stealthily slurped my frog extremely carefully. I barely detected the hit. Great fight on a beautiful evening.

13 LMB, the largest guesstimated at 3lbs. Not a bad session.
