Sherman Bridge Pond

Unplanned morning session before Junior’s hockey game generated 3 bass and 3 pickerel. The biggest bad boy weighed in at 3.3lb and fell for a Booyah popping frog in two feet of water.

Overslept and got off to a late start, but still found 7 solid big mouths and a few pickerel. It got too hot for comfort after an hour and a half but still a great session. The biggest was just north of 3lbs.

Felt like kneeling down and thanking God for the rain, as it’s the only rainfall I can remember since May/June. While the hounds and I got drenched, the rain turned the bite on and I landed a handful of chunky bass and a couple of slime darts. Add to that a few bullfrogs courtesy of the hounds.

After a monster week at work, nothing could have felt sweeter than a glass of red and a handful of firm hook sets. Nothing big landed but I made contact with a couple of big fish.

Stalked the largemouths in very shallow water for a couple of hours this evening, and found a handful of them, of which a couple were pretty chunky. The biggest weighed in at 3.8lbs. I was eager to get the largest one back in the water quickly, so I cut the hook and rushed the photo, hence the chaotic capture ;)

One decent bass and eight smaller ones, as well as nine pickerel fancied my worms and frogs this morning. Wilson took the opportunity to photo bomb, naturally. Again, I was spooked out by the creepy horses on my way to the water. I had the pleasure of chancing upon fellow FishAngler, Alex Kemper for the first time.

Kept the streak going, but the bite was much tougher then yesterday. 8 bass and 4 pickerel still kept me busy.

24 largemouths with five just above and below the 3lbs mark. Not a bad haul over 2.5 hours. In fact, it’s the most I’ve ever caught in that amount of time.
