Cass Lake

Got out early and found a few on the drop shot. Then a driving 💨 kicked up with 20-25mph gusts, enough to make me think about how much it would cost to upgrade to a Spot-Lock system. 😆 Tight lines.

In between all the slime darts I caught a bass on the Jack Hammer. 👊

It’s been a soggy couple of days but the fish don’t care. Pretty much had the water to myself as the rain kept the recreational boaters to a minimum. Never fished Cass before. Will definitely be back. The topography of this lake is incredibly diverse. Huge drop-offs mixed with large areas of shallow flats and plenty of shoreline dense with reeds, vegetation and natural structure. Only scratched the surface today. Tight lines!

Fish ID help? Initially though northern pike but I think it's some sort of pickerel now? Was about 10" Sorry for the dead grass he got me tangled up good by shore in muck. Took awhile to get hook out so didn't take second pic.

Got bored and threw a cast in a random spot. This lil guy grabbed it right as I pulled it out of the water. Threw him back in and proceeded to get my hook caught on a log ☹️
