Old FortBayou Coastal Preserve

I spent several hours on the bayou today. I was fishing in a 44 ft hole that I thought would be holding fish due to the lower (for here) water temps. Nothing... Then about 3:30 pm I moved to a spot that was about 9 ft deep. There was a small cut that had about 3 ft of fairly still water in it adjacent to where I anchored. I split between casting into the deeper channel and up into the cut. Within 30 minutes, I had landed a decent redfish, sheepshead, and juvenile black drum. All were in the cut or just in front of it. The only thing I can figure is that fish were coming up to the warmer shallows to feed. Anyway, I avoided the skunk!
