Dublin Pond

Caught these guys about a week ago, one was gut hooked for who knows how long and was barely kicking when I found him. Hopped out of my kayak, grabbed him and took the hook out (fairly easy with a long pair of pliers, go in through the gill plate and flip hook upside down before extracting). I don’t have very high hopes for him to make it. However if he does have some fight left in him, he’ll be able to eat again and if not, another animal in the food chain won’t potentially be affected by the hook.
