Lubbers Run

Somehow landed my PB rainbow yesterday on my two weight with 6x and a perdigon in fast water, never expected to get it in the net after I saw it come to the top but somehow kept him on. Super productive couple of hours, stopped counting at 10.

First time tightline nymphing on a mono rig with my new Orvis Recon 10ft 2wt, got these two solid bows on a purple perdigon I tied up today in a quick after work run to the river. Can't wait for it to warm up some and have more sunlight later in the days!

Fun session today, got 2 on an egg and 1 on an orange hot head pheasant tail. Beautiful fish on a beautiful day!

Quick after work river sesh for a little over an hour, rivers dropping down again and looking at the forecast it's gonna keep falling. Pink beaded cdc hackled grey hares ear was most productive in riffles and just below them. Tried to stick to faster waters and bounce off the bottom and was hooking up. Swapped to dries at the end after seeing some top water rises but only grabbed some sunnies and chubs before calling it a day.

Hit the Musconetcong after getting out of work to throw some CDC caddis emergers I tied up, found most luck catching five or so in tailouts of deeper sections on the swing/rise. Caught this guy as I was wading back up and out to the car.

Hit the river again before dusk for an amazing session, was hooking up left and right. All stocked rainbows but still fun fights on the 4 weight rod in fast water, lost count after 10 in around the first 30 minutes!
