Central Park Pond

Perfect spot for starters who want to fish in NYC! Blue gills at the pond bite wildly. (Used 2g jig head with 1.5-inch maggot, best w/ UL rods!)

Got two bass in central park today with some okay weather. First one was decent. Both caught on a lipless crankbait.

And the first fish of the year is...this bluegill. Could only get to Central Park today but you do what you can. 🤣 Got a little largemouth too. And a bunch more bluegill. Good to get out of the apartment!

Longest carp fight of my life this guy wouldn't give in. he's not even close to my PB but fought twice as long. Took me an hour to bring in on my ultralight I ended up having to risk it and muscle him in because my line started twisting over the rod guides since the mono was super stretched out. this carp is a champ and I won't be forgetting him anytime soon ❤️ thanks for the fight buddy you're gonna grow into a monster.

Some nice city carp. I sadly lost a bigger one earlier in the day when I went down to grab him he broke off the line on a sharp rock sticking out of the water. The smaller guy in the second photo gave me a great 20 min fight.
