Beaverdam Creek Lake Dam

Jackpot !!! I found a honey hole of white bass: 8 over 14” (1 15.5”) and another 6 over 13”. Lost a few too. All released. 3 nice crappies (lost 2 nice ones at the boat, 12 white perch and at least 12 catfish. A pair of bald eagles we’re witnessing this from above.(largest 2 1/2 lbs)

Beautiful morning but the crappie fishing was crappy. I caught one 12” crappie, 7 catfish and 13 white perch. Not what I expected but a low flying bald eagle and an osprey made up for it. Gorgeous birds!!!

Another early and successful start. Two 12” crappie, a 14.25” crappie (pb), 2 other crappie (lost 3 at the boat and released 2), a white perch (released 3), and two 2.5 lb channel catfish (released 2). Not bad for a mornings work.

It paid to go out early. Trolling with small BassPro Scuttle Shad crankbaits, I landed 8 nice crappie, 3 white bass (lost one at the boat), 4 catfish and a feisty LMB. I kept the crappie for Friday fish fry and released the others.

Beautiful day to be out. Landed 7 crappie (one 14” and another 12”) but lost one at the boat, 7 white bass, 2 catfish (one fat 14”) and a small chain pickerel. Not bad for three hours of crank bait trolling.
