PB ALERT! 11 lb 5 oz NC largemouth bass - caught in a Texas rigged Magnum Speed Worm on a wind blown sunny bank in 8 feet of water around heavy wood cover where I could see shiners feeding on the surface. One of the craziest fights of my life and tying my current PB of 11 lb 5 oz! This fish would easily be a teener in the pre-spawn - my wife and son were so proud and so happy to be there to help me catch weigh and release her and it's a memory I'll cherish forever! She was 25" long - the longest bass I've ever landed and she was 7" wide. She was an absolute submarine and I had to pull her out of a tree and my 20 lb Berkeley Big Game did it's job. Beyond blessed to have caught this beautiful fish! We managed some more nice ones on wacky rigs and frogs - but nothing compared to the big girl. This is why I bass fish every single day! Tight lines and keep bassin'!

Hit the lake on Easter after we got home and I caught a spawned out MONSTER bass - 9 lb 3 oz on the jig with a speed craw trailer. Also nailed a 6 on this same rig and we caught a nice limit of chunky bass. Over 20 lb for the day. Biggest fish of the month for me and probably the longest bass I've ever caught!

We hit the lake before leaving town for Easter to visit family and Jake nails a 6 lb 3 oz bass on the D Bomb and we fill out a limit with nice chunky fish on the frog and flipping. One more quick trip to the dink pond for fun after.

My family was kind enough to take me fishing to ease the pain of defeat and I ran into some nice ones. I lost a fish at the net that looked and felt over 8 lbs on the jig in the first 10 minutes of the day - if we caught all the big ones that bit - wouldn't be special when we landed one!
