Throwback Thursday to a couple months ago. This catch was weird for a couple reasons. I was using cut shad on a size 8 circle hook targeting cats. Little while later caught one on chicken with strawberry jello on a size 8 circle hook as well. If you're not familiar with that style and size hook they are really big and so was the bait on them. Not sure if it was that particular lake or what cause I've never caught them on cut bait. And never on a hook that size. Tight lines anglers, keep reeling them in 🎣 👍

Just as I got to my spot the phone rings and I have to leave. Packing up and reeling in this beautiful little lady saved me with some skunk repellent.

Headed over to Dillion tonight for a couple of hours to enjoy what looks like one of the last nice evenings for awhile. . . Was fishing a chatterbait to cover water(huge confidence bait of mine) and was pitching a senko style bait around laydowns and didn’t have any bites so something told me to switch over to a @strikekinglurecompany rage bug. Had a pretty good morning on the water with my dad. Second time he has been out on the boat with me since I got it. . . Got to the lake around 6:30 and by 7 I had 2 fish in the boat. Managed to catch a total of 3 bass and 3 bluegill. I caught all of my fish (3 bass, 1 bluegill) on a @berkleyfishing 7” power worm. 2 smaller bass was caught using pumpkinseed and the bigger bass and bluegill was caught on a black power worm. Dad caught his 2 bluegill on an in-line spinner(rooster tail). . .
