Had a decent afternoon. Fish were hitting same baits i used in the morning. The 2 pounder off the top was the highlight. 30 yard cast under an overhanging bush and it hit on the second twitch. I converted my 6.6 Dobyns medium-heavy into a frog rod. With the shorter rod i can drop frogs into tight spots.

Came back in the afternoon to the spot I fished in the morning and found a couple fish willing to do battle 😉

Top water frog. Slammed the frog and threw it in the air, about 10 seconds later came back up and gulped it. Classic frog hit 🐸. This guy was a bleeder so I skipped the length measure and got him back in the water. Lots of vegetation in the water. Great for frogging. Also picked up a couple others on white Senko in this nice little pool.

Fathers Day fun. Was slow in the morning. Cold front and storms last night didn’t help, but by 1:00 it started to heat up. Senkos and Topwater frogs were popular. Got a nice 2 pounder also(separate post).

I bit slower than yesterday but was able to land this guy before heading home. Got to fish with my son so it was a good day 😊

Caught the 2 pounder on my new swimbait setup. Fish hit the bait shortly after hitting water. No problem setting the size 8 hook with this Dobyns Fury rod. The Citrix reel casts a mile.
