We struck gold today! This was my second encounter with this Palomino, but last time I missed two hook sets on him. He had relocated about a quarter of a mile downstream and thankfully he was in a much easier spot to cast. Along with this beautiful fish I landed a little brown that also ate the roadrunner.

A cold but successful morning of trout fishing with my go-to winter lure. Landed about 7 browns today and even took a bit of a swim. Couldn’t keep my hands warm after getting my gloves soaked but it was still a fun adventure. But wait… there’s a video of this one! https://youtu.be/Jfr3QR3gUPo?si=CByQ9XuNgV8pepE6

A failed catfishing trip turned into a snowy brown trout adventure, I’ll take it! Fished the Susquehanna for a while in hopes of catching a blue catfish but was unsuccessful. I caught a few shad that I used for cut bait, however, nothing was interested. The creek was a different story though. I managed to land 8 little brown trout on spoons and spinners. I also found a palomino that I managed to get two bites from but I was unable to hook him. Both times he bit, a small brown trout would swoop in and eat the spinner in front of him and spook him off. He’s definitely hungry so I might try to catch him again sometime soon.

The trout trifecta! Went from fishing in snow yesterday to fishing in near 60 degree temps today. The weather is so weird here. I managed to land 8 browns, a rainbow, a brook, and a few baby largemouth. I fished for a bit at a large spillway nearby that I usually don’t catch much at, but today I hooked something big, and it had teeth! However, I lost it after only fighting it for about 10 seconds…

A foggy and rainy morning on the creek resulted in 7 beautiful Brown Trout. Each one ate a small panther martin spinner. It started pouring for the last 30 minutes of fishing but it was still worth it.
