Unnamed / Clinton Frankfort Rd Pond

Caught dinner accidentally when this guy decided to inhale a crank bait that was bigger than his mouth, and yet he managed to gut hook himself on the rear treble. I've never seen a fish do that, but once we realized he wasn't going to make it, I bonked him over the head and bled him out before throwing him in a Ziploc bag, and placing him in a freezer that was luckily on the premisise. Filleted the thing tonight, and the meat is currently soaking in a brine. I'll fry that up tomorrow night. I think it's the biggest crappie I've ever caught, and it's the first of the species I've personally cooked. Can't wait to try it!
