6 plus POUNDER, 21 inches, 17.75 inch girth. Got to my favorite quarry about 9:00 am. My plan was to fish only big baits for big fish. Only got a few taps throughout the day, but at 5:00 pm on my last cast the 7 inch Senko became dinner for this big girl. Had to drag this fish though 30 yards of slop. The 40 pound braid and 6/0 heavy gauge wide gap hook saved the day. Was a bit worried that my Dobyns rod was going to snap, but I got the fish and about 10 pounds of weeds to shore. You definitely need to have patience when fishing large baits. You catch less fish, but every now and then it pays off big. 😉 #CATCH22

Day 2 of fishing bender. Nothing very big but caught many on different baits. Frogs, buzzbait, senko, Heddinger top water.

There are WILD HAWGS in Western Pennsylvania. You just need to hike through mud, jaggers, posion ivy, and deer tics. Took the day off and spent 6 hours hiking around my favorite rock quarry. This 21+ just shy of 7lbs took a white chatter bait with a 5 inch shad colored paddle tail trailer on a medium action bait caster. 30 lbs braid with 15 lbs mono leader, about 50 yards of the bank. Initially this fish hit a large horny toad about 7 foot from shore on a heavy action rod, but spit it out before I could set the hook. A great ending to a beautiful day. The fish was released. 21.25x21.25x17.3875/1130=6.94

Never fished for crappie and never caught one until now. Was fishing for bass and this thing hit a 6 inch Senko on an EWG Monster hook. LMB or LMC 😉
