Spring Grove Pond

I couldn't just leave after the morning Inhad, so threw a hook in the water by some lily pads, and landed another Crappie. A second cast hooked another Crappie that spit the hook right in front of me. A third, and final, cast landed my first Bass of the season. Please know that I have comically large hands, and when I hold a basketball, it looks like an orange.

The goal was to fish for Bass with a fly rod, so I started with a popping frog, and pulled what looked like a Wooly Bugger out of the Bass box to trail behind/beneath the popper. After landing three Bluegill, losing two, and lots if interest, I lost my trailing fly and replaced it with what I know is a Wooly Bugger, and the success continued with two more landed, two more lost, and still lots of interest. Only second time catching with a fly, and first time catching multiple fish on a fly, and most of them were from a kayak!

I floated a worm for about 15 minutes this morning, and caught a Crappie and a couple Bluegill.

had to bring my son to school, so why not stop on way home for a half an hour? a two-pounder and a one-pounder to show for it!
