Love and hate having to go to get a fish. It's a 50/50 thing as once the fish gets wrapped up in the weeds your not sure if the fish is still there. 🤷😂😑😶 I wear water boots at alot of my ponds I fish as they are like swamps around them. Anyway got hooked into a nice bass and was dragging tension 🙃. Once it got closer to my position it decided to dive into the weeds around me. 😠🤨 15ft of weeds stood between the fish and myself....😬😬😬. I slowly 🐌 started making my way into the water while trying to keep tension on. Started off ok until I took a step with my left leg into a pocket that was deeper than what my boot could handle....thus full boot of water. 🙁😐🤫😶. At this time I had to put my rod down to use both my hands to try to get this fish that was covered in weeds. The whole time while I'm handling the line the fish is going psychotic thrashing everywhere. 😪. Essentially said "Eff" it and continue going deeper to get my fish. At that time my right boot filled with water....🙄😐. Continued going farther in as I was almost to the fish. Water kept getting deeper. Shorts got wet up to my lower thighs...ugh....but Still got my fish! Poop baits 💩 for the win! Also found out there's a small creek behind this pond here. Had a deer walk up on me.
