Buffalo Bayou

Some decent catches from May till September and the friendliest catfish I've ever known. My phones also running out of storage.

Broke my PB Twice today from 2 lbs to 3.5 to now 6lbs, and broke my previous abysmal record of 2 bass in a day to 6 bass today. Catching the biggest bass on my little Lews Mach Smash 6'10 medium heavy was an absolute thrill! I was barely able to reel at all because this big ol girl had some serious torque so I had to grab my rod in the middle then lean back and play tug-of-war and drag her out because I thought for sure my rod was going to snap. I still can't believe I landed her, probably because I hooked her in the corner of the mouth. I've only been fishing since last August and I get skunked quite a bit like yesterday for example. I won't share this spot, but I will say these fish were all caught 10-15 ft off the bank which probably means they are still on beds, 5 out of 6 fish were caught on craw imitation soft plastic, which I litterly learned last night that bass hate craw dad's and will kill on site near their beds. #fishanglerslam
