Recent Catches At Goose Creek

Forgot to log this catch, but lemme TALL ya (pun intended, as in TALL TALE) this Slump Busting donkey put up a huge fight. BENT THE HOOKS ON THE RAPALA! Was jerkin this minnow through a channel where ive caught a few decent bucketmouths in the past. It gets to about 3 ft. deep but slopes away quick into the larger bayou. So big fish are always possible. Dragged this little Rapala through the lightly stained water at about 15:30. It aas HOT and this monster CLAMPED DOWN on the Rapala...and i shouted to nobody in particular, "PB! PB ON THE LINE! TIGHT LINES BABAY!!!!" The fight began! And as i maneuvered the lunker i had to put my rod on a log and sit on the handle, OFFSHORE FLOW....i mean for Gods sake i only have a medium heavy rod, fast action...this godzilla was threatening my rod! The fight finally ended at 43:31 fight time...me panting on the ground, the fish flipped a few times, smacked me in the kisser with his tail and jumped off the hook...then he flipped me the bird as he swam away...THATS IT, im done fishing forever. This was the last word in victorious fishing, and i can never top this #bowsoutandflexeson
