Grapevine Lake Wetlands

Out here looking for crappie in the creeks. No crappies, but this absolute unit had no problem gulping down a minnow.

Grapevine Lake treated me right today.

Wasn't able to catch a catfish but caught some good bait on a lipless crank with 12 pound test.

Personal best by almost 2 lbs. Haven't felt good all weekend, forced myself to get out, then dealt with backlash on both rods but persistence paid off today. Didn't even attempt another cast. 2023#21

4th cast. Went to sh!t after that. Had a creepy clinger that I couldn't shake until I texted my wife to call me. Then got hung up and broke my tip off trying to free it 2023#19

March has been good to me. Alot of it has to do with using the texas rig exclusively. Never had success at lakes. But tonight 3rd cast 4th cast 2023#18
