9 largemouths and 1 sunfish in 1.5 hours!!! My phone ended up dying so I couldn’t take pictures of the rest. I got half of them on jerkbaits.. all dinks. Once the sun went down, I tied on a top popper frog to try my luck. I had never gotten even a nibble on a frog so my hopes were extremely low. HOLY COW!!!! First cast against a brush pile and a 3.5 pounder nailed it!! Ended up catching 4 in 15 minutes, all over 2 pounds. The 5th one ended up snapping my 30 lb braid as soon as I set the hook. Must have been a Mondo and a half.. I gotta say, top water frog fishing is FUN AS HECK when you get bites!!! Holy cow, that was exciting. I have a feeling I could have gotten close to my double digit tonight if I hadn’t lost my frog. The hunt continues. #catch2020
