Llano River

Waded down the Llano river from "the slab" exploring and testing out the new 3wt glass rod. Pulled out a mess of sunnies and a couple of small bass, one spotted and a possible guad. Beautiful day this past Saturday, great way to spend it.

A delayed post …went to the Llano river with my son on his birthday…think I got the Texas black bass trifecta at this part of the Llano river…Guadalupe bass, largemouth and smallmouth…all on the BPS XPS Z-popper…tried some fly fishing and other baits but only successful with the topwater…mostly small ones caught but all fun on my light action BFS casting setup. Saw a biggin but couldn’t entice it…threw wacky, ned but not interested…beautiful water to wade in and a lot of action…my son caught a channel cat on a fly, saw many cruising carp…worth going back again sometime…
