Last and this morning(543 starts yesterday's catches). Field mouse came through with some good catches 👏 🙌 👌 👍 💪. Yes if you look at gear choice I was still using my same setup. That was by choice and yes I'm a bit crazy at times with my fishing. 8lb test for frog/mouse fishing lol 😆. There is a rhyme and reason for my madness. My secret is first use a heavy duty snap swivel. 2nd keep your tension/drag on your reel tight enough to set the hook but loose enough to pull drag. Reason behind this is the top water coverage is all slime essentially. Nothing to really get caught on like Lilly pads or trees. Once you set the hook you want that drag to give some as you pull the fish through the 40 feet of sludge lol 😆. Not trying to horse them through it as the 8lb line will snap. Loved the top water blowups this morning as they were always unexpected except one that I knew he was hiding under the muck lol 🤫🤣. Zoom Speed Craws and Berkley Chigger Craws caught a few also. #541 had bloody fins. Been busy building the beds 🛌 😴 😌 🤫😄 #547 Fish Caught In 2023
