Went fishing with my grandpa for the 1st time ever!! After a couple hours & changing places once, I set up a Carolina rig. On my last cast, he told me the correct method of reeling in such a rig, so I did it & snagged a 2 pound bass!! He (a retired trooper at the state park) & his co-workers were quite excited to see my catch. Definitely a lifelong memory made here. & yes, I took it home to clean & cook. Will have it for dinner, hope it turns out well!! Update: it tasted great, but the texture was a little chewy. Must have been b/c I wrapped it whole in foil. I picked it apart & made a sandwich with chili cheddar curds & mayo. Made a tasty little supper!! #BestCatch
