Tough day. Tossed the kvd drop shot into the mouth a culvert and got hit. Caught a dink on the bandito bug… had it by the flapper and when I went to set the hook i set it a little too hard, and yanked him out of the water, he flapped around for a minute while I stared stupidly at him then he was back in the water before I could take his pic.

Had a few take it by the tail but wouldn’t commit, lost a dink at the bank, then grabbed this guy… good afternoon!

Hitting that golden hour bite! Had a hog on, but she spit it, but these guys were a nice consolation prize.

Did some pond hoppin today, first one made me grind for it, second fish was at a different pond and got him on the first cast. Both were caught with a trick worm wacky rigged.

Tried so hard for the top water bite, watching them jump for dragon flies, but they’re picky little boogers, went to the tried and true weightless rig, and started getting bit. Wasn’t able to get a good hook set on a couple of itty bitty guys, but managed to hook some larger ones. Started small, ended up decent with a half pounder, one and a half pounder then got slammed by the two and change pounder, and she FOUGHT!
