Getting better at an alarming rate. Got me some 30-40ft cast on the fly rod. Such a fun technique when everything goes well. 🪰🎣

First ever fly fishing catches!! Not the bass. Those I caught on a Texas Rig UV Speed worm in the shade. But those Bluegill!! I wanted to explore flyfishing to target bait fish and since I'll be moving next to a river I figured I might as well try it. It's a really fun experience when every fish feels massive. Just used a standard nymph rig and a bunch of YouTube tutorials. Elated to say the least 😁

Got a new rod to congratulate myself on a good season so far. Lew's Custom XP was on sale at Cabela's so I snagged one.

Finally caught something here. I don't know what it was but I got dragged and snapped was not expecting that much power. Needless to say I'll be back.
