Cold water catch. I say this because a lot of peope believe the "lip stick" bass are from eating crayfish/crawdads. The trick I use to tell what the bass are eating on is feel where their teeth are. If it's smooth then put on a craw imitation and cast out there. If you feel teeth then go fish imitator. Most of you probably know this but I hope it helps one of you there. Tight lines!
