It was a very successful muddy morning on the banks of Oranjeville today. Loads of small yellow fish and grass graps coming to play after all the rain we recently had. Tons of fun catching a whole lot of these 🥳👌 Onto to the next one 🍀🎣🙏

As I mentioned in the previous post, I changed my presentation immediately but slightly tweaked it also. I added a Vaaldam maize pip to Reece's combo, and it resulted in my first and last reelrun for the day! Reece, of course, grapped the net and waded in before me. A minute into the fight, his line ripped off, and he abandoned me in a blink of an eye! Dad 3 - Reece 5

I managed to successfully net my fish and rushed over to Reece, where he was standing like a seasoned pro playing his catch. Dad netted, and with that, the tally was 6 to Reece and 3 for me. As my good friend Andrew says, a switch was flipped, and the bite stopped, and I noticed a weather front started to move in towards us. I couldn't afford to get stuck in the already sodden waterfront. Thus, we called a day about 2 hours later and went home for a traditional McDonald's icecream.

I mentioned to Reece that he should try another combo to see if we can find some carp kn between the massive schools of juvenile yellows. He came up with a garlic floatie, with Vaaldam, Gumtree, and Strawberrygarlic on the maize ball. Almost immediately, he was into this little carp. I changed my bait presentation immediately.

Another little juvenile yellow for Reece making the tally 4 to Reece and Dad on 2.
