Angry noodles everywhere! Caught my first pike this weekend, but lost the bugger before we could get a picture 💔 Shortnose gar are just thriving out in this mud puddle, and a good buddy taught me that they like topwater! Terrible hookup ratio, but a lot of fun to get like 10 strikes on a single retrieve; there has to be a way to put a rope rig and a plopper together, right? 🎣😈 Stupid video at the end is me zooming in on a 4-foot water snake (I can't see it in the video either, it was in the middle of that group of 3 little divots when it zooms in) that just disappeared along the water's edge; all the more reason to not spook the fish up on the bank. 😉
