Took a buddy out that’s never fished the pre spawn. To say his expectations where met would be an understatement. Managed to put him on his pb. 5lb 6oz. I’m still looking for my double digit fish. I love this time of year.

Caught a few bluegill and used them for bait.

Dropped chartreuse 1/8 oz jig 2-1/2 ft deep and caught a good meal quick.

Several nice crappie and gills yesterday. Used a 2” Johnson Shad Swimmer with a 1/8oz lead head. Blue gills were shallow and crappie were around brush 10’-12’ deep.

Caught a bunch of bass around 1-2lbs and one over 3 also had my line broke once. Used a 3” trick worm Texas rigged with a 1/16oz bullet weight. Green pumpkin. The bigger fish were caught in brush 8-12 feet deep and hit on the drop most of the time.
