Still early, and still some very strong Easterly winds. Followed by some chilly nights. Working out some new spots among those I’ve tried before. Early April bass is a good sign. Long may the sunshine for this summer.

What a beauty!! I knew as soon as the lure was plucked by the initial weighted run it made and how little control I had bringing it between the rough ground this was a big fish. 71cm of joy! Lucky to see it landed with a badly chaffed leader that snapped upon bringing up the beach.

I saw plenty of good sized bass but all were particularly choosy as to taking the lure. Alot of hours and hard graft for the ones i did. Was also facinated to see that ana conger had beached itself up the high tide mark. Helped it down to low tide mark. A good day all in all.

A real hard slog today with four hours casting the lure prior to catching this bad boy. Chuffed with this sized fish in April 👌🏼

This one saved a blank this eve… really murky conditions considering 2 weeks ago it was unworldly clear.

This beauty i spooked when it went to take the lure in a narrow channel with water rushing back out. Barely ankle deep which is why he saw me… caught me by suprise… recast and followed the same miniture gully back on running across the weed either side and it smashed it. Great fight also. 🤟🏼

This one took the lure as soon as it hit the water in a lengthy cast. Made for a great fight. Shocked that i caight in this location.

A 50 cm on the second cast over ground I don’t normally fish. Then second cast the 47cm pictured. Then nothing all the way down to my mark. At least it wasn’t a blank.
