Unnamed / Sycamore Rd Pond

The last few days in Iowa. I wanted to fish some areas of this pond that were just completely overgrown, so I took a machete and cleared my own path. (Don't mind those poles and tackle box, someone must have left them there so I could set my machete on them) It paid off nicely. My first Bluegill was a giant.. I think my FiahAngler FishAngler Team hat brought me some luck as well. Caught all these with a muffler clamp I pulled from a 1982 Iroc Z. #catch22

Fished 6 different ponds today. Although the fish weren't really biting, it was a pretty amazing day. I don't miss living in Iowa but I do miss the fishing here. There is something about being out on a farm, surrounded by corn and bean fields as far as you can see and right in the middle of it all is a giant pond stocked with bass. The first picture kind of captured a moment for me so thought I would share. A farmer owns 3 huge ponds all next to each other and I am able to drive anywhere I want on the property to fish. It's the best bass fishing in southeast iowa. The rest are obviously all the Bluegill I caught by jumping my truck into the pond. #catch22

This is what happens when I fish with nightcrawlers. I forget I am fishing with nightcrawlers and this guy paid the price. Don't worry he is fine, he swam it off.
