Took me a couple of hours to find them...... when I did it happened fast! Caught 8 in 15 minutes...... then the school shut off. Panfish assassin, blue ice, 1/32oz lead head was the ticket. I fished it 4’ under a bobber. 10’-12’ was water depth.

Caught 6 crappie on this windy day. I used a Bobby Garland blue ice 1.5” Shad. Fished it on a 1/32oz led head 2’ under a bobber. Bite was slow and fish were about 6’ deep on wind blown north bank.

South wind and northern banks always produces crappie for me when the water is cold.

Caught this 4 1/2lber using a 1/8oz shakey head with a 3.5” wreaking craw slowly crawling it across the bottom. Fish was in 4’-6’of water. Water temperature was 35*. Very light bite.

Caught several small crappie and bass using a crappie jig 3’ under a bobber. The jig was a 2” Bobby Garland chartreuse shad paired with a chartreuse roadrunner head 1/16oz. Fished the north banks of strip pits with the wind blowing 20mph out of the south.

Only had an hour. Beautiful day for Crappie fishing anyway. Caught all of these in 6-8' of water, on the windy end of the strip pit, using a panfish assassin 1.5" shad paired with a 1/8oz lead head 2' under a bobber. The color that worked the best was blue ice.

Had fun catching these little Crappie. Walked the bank of public water targeting lay downs and brush piles with a 2" green pumpkin paddle tail minnow paired with a 1/32oz lead head.

caught this HOG red ear sunfish on a green 2" paddle tail minnow paired with a 1/16 oz jig head. Air temp 48* water temp 67* so every fish I caught was shallow and felt warm.
