Ditch bass broke his reel

I hooked up on this fish two days earlier and he snapped my line when I tried to get him up the bank. I told my son (and anyone that would listen) about the "10 lb" monster I lost. Came back today and got another strong hook up, then as I pull him up I see my lure in his mouth from the other day. Lure was so good, I caught him twice on it. How often do you legitimately get to catch the one that got away?

After I showed my boy the picture of what I caught, he couldn't let me be the trash pond master alone.

took the dogs for a walk and snuck out with my daughter's tiny rod and my son's new lure. I wanted to test it out for him in the little drainage pond to see how it worked. It worked well. wish I had the scale for this one.
