Lake Ann

A few days ago, I went to Minnesota Comic Con to run a photo booth for a few days with the actual throne from the TV show Vikings. (How I got there is a long story... But I am a photographer.) I heard that Jonathan Frakes, the actor who played William Riker on Star Trek: TNG would be there. I grew up watching Star Trek, it's still my favorite. So I took a break from my photo booth to talk to him. He was so super nice and I was incredibly honored. He noticed the fish hook clip in my hat and asked me if I liked to fish, etc. He said he likes fishing pickerel, trout and bass at home in Maine. I got to talk fishing with Jonathan effin Frakes. 🖖🤓

Our biggest Pike ever!! 🎣🐊 great team work, my wife was the one that set the hook, however it was so powerful it almost make her drop the rod to the lake 😳, so she asked me to land it, awesome fight, fearless beast!! 😝

I found a mess of crappie a few nights ago in Lake Ann. Little orange grub with stinky chartreuse nibbles. Biggest was 9.5", but I also didn't measure them all. I returned to that spot, remembering that I caught a single crappie right there last year. I have been told by relatives that my paternal grandmother used to catch crappies like crazy, and she once caught a 17" in Crane Lake. So... apparently I have some expectations to live up to. And a trip to plan.

Fish Friday! Mah first slab! Nobody told me that they're prettier in person than in pictures. Caught this one right under some fallen trees, with an orange jig and with some absolutely massive earthworms from my garden.
